Haunted Scarecrow

I talked with Pops in the basement of the 505 Food Court, downtown Albuquerque, and he put me to work decorating in the dinosaur room. I painted most of the walls and made a large dog skeleton prop become a huge mangy/decomposed dog, which we then placed as attacking our second, unfinished dinosaur. As the first room in the haunt, the dino room had an almost soothing feel to it (don’t have good pictures of the room with the house lights down). My acting scare as an imprisoned explorer, caught many people off guard. Always satisfying to get jumps and screams in a haunt, and then sometimes they laugh hard. I laugh whenever I walk through a haunt, and I don’t understand how some people get so scared they can barely get through the first couple of rooms. I practiced meditation in between scares, to help pass the many hours in my spot. Great team at Haunted Scarecrow, and this year’s haunt was much better than the last few years. (Check out “The horror…” page for details on the props.)
