Morgue & Krypt Horror Fest

I volunteered to help with this year’s horror fest, and I had never been to any type of horror convention besides this. I got to sit at a booth with P.J. Soles (Halloween, Rock’N’Roll High School, and more) and her husband, Rob. Had a great time talking with them, listening to fans who wanted to express their admiration for P.J. and getting photos autographed, and taking pictures of fans with P.J. Events like this are an interesting dichotomy of gruesome horror and love of the horror genre shared by the fans. It felt like being small part of a world-wide family. The place was often packed with fans, many of them there to see The Terrifier – Art the Clown. I also got a chance to talk with actor Ashley Lawrence from the Hellraiser franchise. I talked with some other volunteers, some of who were part of Haunted Scarecrow haunted house productions, and was invited to possibly participate in this year’s haunt.
